Three Vases. Series “The Earth of Africa”. Fired at 1000–1100°C.
Their rich brown and terracotta surfaces, covered with a living, uneven texture, echo the cracked dry soil, the traces of time, and the breath of winds passing over savannas and clay-built villages.
The artist infused these works with the idea that the soil of Africa is not just a surface — it is the memory of generations, the strength of roots, and the wealth of cultures from which life is born.
Each vase resembles a small fragment of the continent: voluminous, warm, and organic, as if holding within it the stories of millions — their resilience, their hopes, and their deep connection to the land.
Together, the three vases embody the unity, diversity, and continuity of Africa. The artist sought to express that within diversity there is harmony, and within roots there is strength.
